As I traveled through Uganda and the DRC, I captured every moment and environment that looked familiar. Some reminded me of my village, others of neighboring homesteads, and some of scenes I had seen a few years ago. Each frame carried reminded me home, pointing to our shared past and where we might have come from. Below is a gallery of those moments, each photo carrying its own story yet connecting back to the same thread of familiarity.

The similarities captured in these photos from Uganda and the DRC offer compelling visual evidence that aligns with oral traditions and historical accounts of Kamba migration from the Congo Basin. Could this not suggest that historians may indeed be accurate in tracing community origins, and that such narratives remain vital in understanding how societies transform over time?
